Women off Spartans - American football training camp

During this weekend Women off Spartans had a training camp in Ulricehamn. I was asked to shoot som portraits.
The setup for that was really simple.
A background with black paper. (Earlier i used black fabric, not as convinient as paper).

I also covered part off the the practice sessions the team had yesterday.

Recently i shoot some team photos and player portraits for the local football club, Jönköping Spartans.
This year they have a women's team. And wants to recruit more players. So part of my assignment was to shoot promos for that.
The theme for the promos is "bring a friend".
The players had some great ideas that we used.
I had a great time doing this. And i do hope that this great sport will become a log bigger here in Sweden in the future.
It´s still small, but rapidly growing. A good thing. Because i really love it.

The setup was really simple.
Manfrotto stands and springs, and some clamps with a black backdrop made by fabric, as a background.
For the team photos i used two studio strobes with reflecting umbrellas.
And for the other photos i used a single studio strobe with a softbox.
Pocket wizards to trigger the strobes.

Well, there will be some more hockey. This since i am going to shoot the Junior ice hockey world cup/ IIHF World Junior Championship.

Over all it has been a great year.
Attending the Sports Shooter Academy X.
Great people, great faculty, and a great experience.

Shooting 2 NHL games.
Shooting UEFA Women's Euro.
Attending a Swedish workshop for sports photographers.

With Lars Dareberg and Jonas Lindqvist. Two great photographers, and really nice persons. A lot of great people and experiences there as well.
