2017 is kind off a strange year to from a sports photo perspective.
I have done quite lite sports photo during 2017.

But the things i have done has been truly great.
First both the Women´s and the Men´s team from the local Floorball club, JIK qualified to the major league.

Then i covered the Swedish championship finals for Expressen, a major Swedish newspaper. That our local team HV71 won.
I also covered the public celebration for them.

I covered the Europe league final between Manchester United and Ajax.

The last game i covered was the first off the two play off games between Sweden and Italy. The game where Sweden scored the only goal. Which also means that Sweden qualified for the FIFA World Cup that will be in Russia next year.
This was also on assignment for Expressen.

From the Sports shooter academy last year.
Rod Mar is in the academy faculty this year as well.
Rod is not only a great photographer, he is a great person as well.
Just as the rest of the faculty.

And since there still are some spots left.
I can truly recommend to apply for it this year.

Toughest obstacle race - reportage

Some months ago i decided to attend a workshop about sports photo reportage for the second time.
There are several reason for that.
First of all, being around truly talented people. Both faculty and students.
Is something that inspires me a whole lot.
Every time i do that i learn something new.
And it helps me to keep inspired in my work.
Something that i find most vital in my profession.
A big thank you to all of the great people that was there!

Well, there will be some more hockey. This since i am going to shoot the Junior ice hockey world cup/ IIHF World Junior Championship.

Over all it has been a great year.
Attending the Sports Shooter Academy X.
Great people, great faculty, and a great experience.

Shooting 2 NHL games.
Shooting UEFA Women's Euro.
Attending a Swedish workshop for sports photographers.

With Lars Dareberg and Jonas Lindqvist. Two great photographers, and really nice persons. A lot of great people and experiences there as well.

Track & field (Workshop photos).

This weekend i have attended a workshop for sports photo here in Sweden.
As far as i know this was the first time ever something like this has been done here.
This was arranged by Lars Dareberg and Jonas Lindkvist.
Two really experienced and great photographers.

Among the participants was some really good sport photographers that i have know for a while in one or another way.
Great not only tom meet them in real life.
But also getting a lot of inspiration from them.
Since i have practically no experience from shooting track and field.
It was really nice to do something new and challenging.

That´s for sure a good way to learn new things, and to grow as a photographer.

And when it comes to try something new, sometimes it really fails.
Jonas Lindkvist said something, that i consider really wise about that.
"If you fail, that´s great". What he means with that, is that it gives you a opportunity to learn something, and try again.
