"It´s not about being pretty", (Venice Beach).

I´m writing this sitting on the LAX airport waiting to board my flight back home to Sweden.
Yesterday i visited the Venice beach for the first time in my life.
A lot off different people. Something i really like.
When i tried to photograph some skaters for the first time in my life.
There was this young girl, age about 6-7 years.
She has a talent that just totally crazy. I seriously think she was better than any off the adult "boys" that was also there.
On the back off here clothes somebody has written "it´s not about being pretty".

I had a great time hear in Southern California.

I meet some friends from before, and also meet a loot of "new" people.
You all have a special place in my heart. Thank you for all your love, kindness, hospitality and generosity.
I wont comment the political situation. But IM sure that USA will continue to be great.

I will be back sometime again in the future.
Until next time, i will miss you all.

Surfers @Huntington Beach.

The very first time i was going to try to photograph surfing. I was taken to Huntington beach by my friend Tadzio. We was a bit late. And the surfers was getting up from the water. It was then i took the picture below.

Not so much of "action". But i fell in love with the place. And two yeas ago i tried again, at the same place. Still not happy with the result.

Now i gave it a third try today. The waves was a lot better. And i got more the kind of action images i had in mind.
Did not really like the light. Therefore i converted the images into B/W.

“The problem with thick skin is that it leaves you impervious to the sharpest of pins. Everything becomes dull. But without that sense of pain, there cannot be that sense of relief. Ultimately, the thickened skin leaves you numb, incapable of feeling the highs and lows of life. It leaves you rough like a rock and just as inanimate.”

Stadsparksvallen by night

“I advise you to say your dream is possible and then overcome all inconveniences, ignore all the hassles and take a running leap through the hoop, even if it is in flames.”

― Les Brown

To make this photo i used a Manfrotto lightning stand with an adapter and a ball head to attach the camera. This way i was able to elevate the camera about 4 meters. This was shoot with 1 1Dx mkII with the 24-70/2,L II USM. To be able to compose the image i attached the camera with the WFT-E6 WIFI adapter. Thru which i connected the camera with a app from Canon.
